Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with research, design, development, manufacturing, installation, testing and maintenance of mechanical devices, tools, engines and machines. The working area of mechanical engineers can be through any of the state of the product life cycle as stated above. Working in industries like aerospace, automotive, oil & gas refining, power generation, construction, materials, tools, manufacturing and multidisciplinary industries like mechatronics, IoT, computing, medical, electric vehicles, electronics etc., mechanical engineers can be found in developing everything from engine parts, to gas turbines and fuel cells, robots, tools, and more.

Mechanical engineering department at Sree Rama Govt. Polytechnic College, Thriprayar is a well-developed branch with fully equipped laboratories like fluid mechanics, Hydraulic machines, Computer Aided Design, Engineering Mechanics, Thermal Engineering, Production engineering laboratories with state of art machines and equipment’s. Also, Mechanical Workshop of the collegeworks hand in hand with the department.

Department has highly dedicated staffs including a Head of the department, 5 lecturers and 6 laboratory staffs, to mould students in their academic journey to success.

We are very proud that our students have reached in highly reputed companies in different parts of the world. The Training & Placement Unit of our college has been able to provide ample placement opportunities with good salaries for passing out students. Our alumni circle is very much involved in providing career guidance and recruitment opportunities for current students.
